Through his surfing buddy Gabe (Ross Thomas), Zack is introduced to Gabe's brother - Shaun, a struggling gay writer. Shaun (Brad Rowe) also has issues taking a break from Hollywood and regrouping after the end of a dysfunctional relationship.
