Dolce & Gabbana’s spring/summer collection was a confident outing of classics - strong suiting and directional denim - that reaffirmed the designer duo as kings of Italian glamour. Eveningwear was heavily embellished with dark beads and crystal - it was an exceptional exercise in true craftsmanship. At the other end of the glamour spectrum, the off-duty A-lister standby of jeans received a thorough reworking. Denim was presented distressed, torn, ripped and again decorated with intricately beaded sections, striking a balance between wearability and fantasy. Dolce & Gabbana remains as aspirational as ever. The standout piece? Any of the really heavily beaded suit jackets.
